You're absolutely on the right track! The PMP is an excellent foundation for managing individual projects and is widely recognized by employers. Transitioning to a PgMP is a logical next step if you’re moving into program management, as it focuses on managing multiple, related projects to achieve strategic outcomes.

As for the PfMP, it’s more geared toward managing portfolios, ensuring that programs and projects align with organizational strategy and deliver the highest value. If your role involves overseeing multiple programs or prioritizing investments at an enterprise level, the PfMP could definitely be beneficial.

Ultimately, the choice depends on your career goals. If you’re targeting program management, the PgMP is a strong step. If you see yourself in a broader strategic leadership role, the PfMP would be a great addition to your toolkit.
